Lead in drinking water is one of the biggest environmental health threats facing people throughout North America. We have designed the perfect water technology just for these types of challenges. ALTRA Proven Lead Solution is a trenchless, non-invasive, semi-structural pipe lining system for existing water services lines. It creates a lead-proof safe barrier inside existing pipes at a fraction of the cost, time, and disturbance of traditional replacement. It’s a surgical installation that requires only a single, tiny hole outside each home.

As there is no major excavation, roads remain navigable and access to homes and businesses remains intact. Private properties stay also undamaged. We have developed a bullet-proof process allowing for a rapid installation within 2.5 hours. The speedy process allows for many installations a day and immediate return to service. The smooth bore and thin-wall pipe provide the same or increased flow capacity. ALTRA Proven Lead Solution has been extensively tested – burst tests, leak tests, tensile tests and freeze tests – and pushed it to its limits.

The Next-Generation of Lead-Free Solution is particularly suitable where alternative solutions prove to be disruptive, such as alongside other infrastructure, under road crossings, in congested ground with other utilities, and in customer properties under drives and gardens. It is also especially beneficial for lining old deteriorating pipes and lines with leaching contaminants, such as lead & copper pipe, as it acts as a barrier.
